IS IT A BODY OR BAG OF TRASH??????
Yesterday evening Robert came into the house and said he thought someone was camping out in the pasture next to ours. We walked out with his binoculars and we could see a person's hand and hair and face. There was no movement and we didn't know if the individual was dead or alive. It was right in the middle of the field. Sirens were going off on Highway 59 and there was still no movement, so Robert called the police. The policeman got out his own binoculars and then said, "It is Regina--a homeless woman." The policeman told us they had run her off from a truck stop on the highway earlier in the day and she had several cans of beer with her at that time. In the end Regina walked toward the back of our pasture and the two policemen went the opposite way to their patrol car. I experienced really strong emotions for this woman that I do not know and how horrible it is that she has no place to call home. Our animals have more than she does. All of this brought out concern over my own sister who is out there somewhere and could easily end up in someone's field drunk, stoned, or dead. I tried to call her daughter and there was no answer. When we knelt in prayer we asked a special blessing on this woman named Regina and my sister.
